John Fetters Poor Memory and False Accusations

As far as our documentation shows after Maurice Ryman took legal action against John Fetters and took away his ability to use the "Ryman" name, John Fetters wrote us this letter offering to sell us dogs from his defunct "Ryman Gun Dog Kennel".

We were not aware of the severing of all ties with Mr. Fetters by Maurice Ryman until after we had purchased "Ryman's Nutmeg Sprint" and Ryman's Allegheny Flame" that are both referenced as being for sale in this letter. Joan Mizer sent us a copy of "Grouse Tales" May-June 1994 article and that was when we found out that"Mr. Fetters has extremely overstepped his bounds..."

As we see it, John Fetters wanted to retain ownership of Flame and Meg and he would not give us their papers. It took us a long time but we were able to obtain registration papers on both females from the American Field Publishing office in Chicago. Mr. Fetters now claims that we recently created this letter. However, it was typed on a typewriterand, as I have said before, we have not owned a typewriter for several centuries.
